当会とは世代を隔てて親交のあるお三方のお蔭で、どれだけの戦歿者が祖国日本に還り、現地でも慰霊されているか、この機会にぜひ皆さまに知っていただきたいと思います。

【 Congratulations on the Conferment of Decorations and Commendations 】

 

We are pleased to announce that three gentlemen who have made outstanding contributions over many years to the commemoration of Japan’s war dead and to the recovery of their remains—for both our country and our association—have been awarded decorations on this occasion, following the strong recommendation of the Embassy of Japan in the Solomon Islands. 

 

Thanks to these three gentlemen, who have maintained close and enduring ties with our association across generations, countless fallen soldiers have been able to return to their homeland, Japan, and to be respectfully commemorated locally. We would like to take this opportunity to ensure that everyone is aware of the profound impact of their efforts.

 

In the Solomon Islands, day after day, they continue to devote themselves to this work beyond the awareness of the Japanese public, overcoming countless challenges and obstacles with steadfast dedication.
